“Money can’t buy happiness”. This saying is true in a sense, but now-a-days it is not so true. There is not much money cannot buy. People would like to believe that money cannot buy happiness, but in the shallow world we live in today, it can. People use money to do everything, and if one does not have money, they are not happy. Say one does not have much money so they cannot do anything and they are always stressing about money problems, they are probably not happy. Now look at someone who has plenty of cash in the bank, they can do anything and they are not worrying about money things, they are happy, even if it is an artificial happiness.
Having a lot of money can bring people happiness, even if it is a fake happiness. A fake happiness
would be if one buys a bunch of material things to compensate for not having friends or family to make them happy. This kind of happiness will only last for so long before the person realizes they cannot fool themselves anymore with material objects. Now these people with a ton of cash money can have happiness that is not materialistic. They can be happy that they are not in debt or worrying about money in anyway, so they can be with loved ones or friends and not worry about the economy so much.
On the other hand one who was little or no money is probably stressing about money problems or about how they cannot support their families or themselves. Now these people can be happy with what they have, just keeping happy by being with their friends and family, which is true happiness. These people do not care about having the latest technology or anything because they are happy without it, even if they have no money.
People now believe that money is everything and if one cannot get it any other way, buy it. People buy everything these days. Food, clothing, and shelter are not the only essentials anymore. Cars, cell phones, and designer clothes are things that people believe are essential to making one have true happiness. Some of the things are actually essential to everyday life, like a car and cell phone, but that does not bring person happiness.
So money can buy happiness for some people but other people see through the materialistic, superficial happiness and have happiness with their families and friends.
